On Intentional Fortune, I preach taking action towards your goals and dreams. You should plan, but you shouldn’t let the unknown (fear) cause you to keep planning, keep going through what ifs. You should develop a plan and trust it enough to execute. If you do end up failing, you will have learned a valuable lesson. You’ll know what to expect next time, and be more motivated than ever.
In my case, I could have easily second-guessed myself and said my GRE score or undergraduate GPA wasn’t high enough, or we weren’t financially ready to float one semester of classes, or it just wasn’t the right time in our lives because of everything we have going on, but I didn’t.
